Our Story

Pepe's name comes from the two guys who built it.

Before Pepe's had a name, it was years of work behind the scenes — formulating hair gels and pomades for other brands, refining what actually works across countless customers and hair types. Somewhere in that process, we landed on a formula we couldn't stop coming back to. It deserved a name of its own.

Why Hemp Seed Oil, Biotin & Castor Oil

Back in 2018, we wanted a gel that actually did something for your hair — not just hold a style. Hemp seed oil was having a moment, but almost no one put it in a hair gel.

That's a missed opportunity — hemp seed oil is packed with fatty acids and antioxidants that help nourish and protect the scalp, easing dryness and itchiness while supporting a healthier environment for hair to grow. It's also known to help balance the scalp and regulate natural oil production — so you get hold without the greasy buildup. 

Pair that with biotin and castor oil, two of the most trusted ingredients for hair growth and scalp health, especially as guys start noticing thinning. No one had combined all three. So, we did.
